Finding new songs
Finding the right arrangement is not as easy as one would think, but there's a lot to be learned in the process.   It's recommended that we should have 9-10 songs that we sing really good.  Once we have the songs selected, then which ones are we going to order and learn first.... and which songs from our current list will be put away.

Basically, here are four BIG steps we should follow in adding new songs to our repetoire:

1) Find the full titles that sound interesting (or songs that you've heard)  -- and then try to find and listen to the songs on YouTube to make sure that we are working on "apples n' apples"

2) If it passes step 1, then we need to search for good arrangements, and check them out.  Sometimes we can get preview copies -- sometimes we might have to talk with the arranger.

3) Once we have a copy of the arrangement, then we need to study the music and see if it'll work for the chorus:  Does the notes for each part, fit within what we know our part ranges are? What's the message of the song? Is the melody easy to sing? Do the other parts seem to flow nicely throughout the song? How long is the song and how many verses (we might have to modify)? Are learning tracks available?  .... and of course, how much will it cost to get 20 copies?

4) From the songs that pass steps 1-3 then we can consider whether it fits into our current repertoire list or should we set aside to replace a song that we've been singing for a while.
