Come for a visit -- and have some fun!

GUESTS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME
HARMONY OF THE GORGE CHORUS

Finding the right chorus to sing with is like finding the "perfect" pair of shoes.  We invite women to come check us out and see how we "fit."

We are very careful about protecting each of our singers and guests, so we ask that members or guests stay home on the nights that they are not feeling well.   We also strongly encourage members to maintain their vaccinations, for the health of the group and local communities.  There will be other rehearsals.

We're meeting Tuesday evenings 6:00-8:00pm
Down Manor, 1950 Sterling Place, Hood River
in the banquet room on the 4th floor

* during holidays and the winter months, please call 541-490-2481 to verify

Tuesday evenings might look like this:
  • Greetings
  • You will receive a binder with the songs we'll be singing
  • Having fun with vocal warmups
  • Singing one of our favorite songs
  • Learning new songs
  • Performing and showing off
KEEP SINGING  ---  SINGING IS GOOD FOR YOU
Singing releases Mood Enhancing chemicals in the brain!
Many studies have focused on the health benefits of singing, and the evidence is overwhelming - SINGING IS GOOD FOR YOU!  It releases endorphins into your system and makes you feel energized and uplifted.  Vocalizing promotes well-being and helps to prolong life.  A British music educator puts it this way, "Belting a tune improves circulation, which in turn oxygenates the cells and boosts the body's immune system."
Singing connects you with new friends and helps form lasting bonds with others.  Harmony of the Gorge women's chorus is a place where you can find all of that and more!!
If you have any questions,  please call 541-490-2481.

QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT ASK
Do I need to read music?
No.  Like walking, reading music is learned one step at a time.

I don't have a solo voice, I just want to sing.
We sing together as a group, you will learn how to make the most of your voice.

Will I have to audition by singing alone in front of a group?
No.  If you decide to become a member, you will be auditioned in a very simple way with others singing alongside you.
