2020-21 Scholarship
Harmony of the Gorge chorus has chosen Jacob Lockman of Columbia High School at White Salmon as our scholarship recipient this year. Jacob says that music is the "soul" of his life. He started with piano and later learned guitar. He has played trumpet in the high school Pep Band, Concert Band and in Jazz ensembles where they have won multiple accolades. He, also, sings.
Jacob plans to attend Harvey Mudd College where he will pursue a double major with a Bachelor of Science (STEM) degree and a Minor in Music. He envisions being a high school teacher. He has been part of Running Start and is number one in his class of 85 students. He is a leader, an athlete, an Eagle Scout, and is active in his church.
